About the Business
I began, like many, as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, around about the time the first affordable digital cameras made an appearance (wincing at the prospect of that being approx 15 years ago?) In 2007, I gave up a rewarding career in research at Aberdeen University and swapped my daily commute for college courses (HND Photography), childcare (my awesome son, above, who is now 11) and a determination to make it in the world of family and wedding photography.
I have since opened (and closed) a successful High Street studio in Montrose, shot over 100 weddings and worked with many, many families and their children. Becoming a wedding photographer has always been one of my greatest achievements. Wedding photography is demanding, exhilarating, incredibly emotional and highly personal. I don't do assembly line coverage, and I'm not keen on taking up half your precious wedding day shooting staged photo essays.
