About the Business
Olesja was born in the heart of Latvia in the country's oldest city, Daugavpils, in April 1976. This town was known as ' The City of Inspiration' in tribute to the areas many poets, artists and painters. Her early childhood was spent in the small town of Krauja, translated to English as 'The Cliff of Dreams' as a result of the first talent show in Latvia taking place there in the early 1800's. It was here at an early age that Olesja first found an interest in the beauty of nature, and established her ambitions at the age of 12 to become a photographer. This dream was initially dismissed by her parents who keen to see Olesja follow a more practical and secure means of living, encouraged and supported her study of a textile course at university.
