About the Business
It all began at the Aberdeen Camera Club, more than 20 years ago, when Graham was asked if he would be interested in training as a wedding photographer with a local studio Martin Johnston. Over the next two years, Graham was trained personally by J.Steve Martin in the classic style of wedding photography which was so popular at in Aberdeen at the time. In fact, many of the successful wedding photographers in the city began by training in the fundamentals of classic photography, and then went on to develop their individual styles.
Remember that photography was very different back then, and a photographer did not see an image until the film was processed. In 1994, Rubislaw Studio was born, when Graham and Jill opened a studio in Carden Place, and soon gained a reputation for producing quality wedding photography and wonderful family portraiture in the new studio.
